Volleyball Recap: Spruce Creek's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

After flying high against Seabreeze on Tuesday, Spruce Creek came back down to earth. The Hawks fell 3-1 to the Bishop Moore Hornets on Wednesday. The Hawks' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Spruce Creek started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-12.

Despite the loss, Spruce Creek still got an impressive performance from Logan Milan, who had 26 digs and three aces. Milan is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Johnson, who had 19 digs and two aces.

Spruce Creek now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Bishop Moore, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Coming up, Spruce Creek will venture away from home to challenge DeLand at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bishop Moore, they will host George Jenkins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
