Baseball Game Preview: Creekside Knights vs. Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs

The Creekside Knights will face off against the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Creekside's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Flagler Palm Coast's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Creekside fell victim to DeLand and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Knights seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Hudson Hyatt was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Creekside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey Dugo, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Flagler Palm Coast, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over Fleming Island on Tuesday.

Brody Mcginty looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Jordan Gonzalez was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Flagler Palm Coast's win bumped their record up to 9-16. As for Creekside, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.

Creekside might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Flagler Palm Coast when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
