Softball Recap: Alta Comes Up Short

Alta came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-5 to the Olympus Titans. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Danica Doyle was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Anabel Velador, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Alta's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Olympus, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alta will host Mountain Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Sentinels have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests. As for Olympus, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Highland at 3:30 p.m.
