Volleyball Recap: West Phoenix Comes Up Short

West Phoenix was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the ASU Prep Sun Devils.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: ASU Prep scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 25-22.

West Phoenix's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for ASU Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

After both having extra time off, West Phoenix and South Ridge will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. West Phoenix is facing South Ridge at the right time seeing as South Ridge is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for ASU Prep, they will challenge Empower College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
