Basketball Recap: Clarke Central Comes Up Short

Clarke Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Loganville Red Devils, falling 67-46. While losing is never fun, the Gladiators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 427th, while the Red Devils are ranked 160th).

Clarke Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Loganville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Clarke Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 70-38 loss against Cedar Shoals on the 25th. As for Loganville, they will square off against Habersham Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Habersham Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
