Baseball Game Preview: Apache Junction Prospectors vs. Maricopa Rams

The Apache Junction Prospectors will take on the Maricopa Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Apache Junction saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell just short of McClintock by a score of 3-2. The Prospectors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Apache Junction saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Deleon, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Maricopa lost 11-5 to ALA - Gilbert North on Thursday.

Apache Junction's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Maricopa, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-2.

Apache Junction came up short against Maricopa in their previous meeting back in February of 2017, falling 11-7. Can Apache Junction avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
