Basketball Recap: Wilbur Cross Comes Up Short

Wilbur Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Career Magnet Panthers. That's two games in a row now that the Governors have lost by exactly 11 points.

Wilbur Cross' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Career Magnet, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-0.

Wilbur Cross and Cheshire will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Career Magnet will take on Branford in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
