Baseball Game Preview: Cypress Lake Panthers vs. South Fort Myers Wolfpack

The Cypress Lake Panthers will face off against the South Fort Myers Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cypress Lake will be strutting in after a victory while South Fort Myers will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Cypress Lake turned things around against Lely on Monday. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 6-1.

Evan Skaggs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, Fernando Carrasquel was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Shelby Fields also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, South Fort Myers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 5-1 to Cardinal Mooney.

South Fort Myers' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Cypress Lake, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.
