Volleyball Recap: Murray Comes Up Short

Murray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Calloway County Lakers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Murray's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Calloway County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Murray will challenge rival Christian Fellowship at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Calloway County is set to face off against their familiar foe Marshall County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
