Volleyball Recap: Metea Valley Mustangs vs. Nazareth Academy Roadrunners

Metea Valley was the 2-0 winner over Nazareth Academy when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Roadrunners by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Allyse King and Raina Parekh, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Ashley Ward and her 24 assists. Olivia Stewart controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Metea Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Nazareth Academy, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-12.

Metea Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Minooka on the 20th. As for Nazareth Academy, they will face off against St. Francis on Tuesday.
