Softball Recap: Reedsville Comes Up Short

Reedsville lost against Valders back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers lost 11-1 to the Vikings. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clare Delsman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Reedsville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Valders, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Reedsville will welcome Mishicot at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 0.5 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Valders, they are taking a road trip to challenge New Holstein at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 3.4, the Huskies 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
