Baseball Recap: Aptos Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Aptos and Santa Cruz had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Mariners came up short against the Cardinals on Tuesday, falling 9-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mariners have suffered since March 21st.

Aptos saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dom Castillo, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Aptos' loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Santa Cruz, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-11.

While Aptos had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
