Basketball Recap: Mainland Regional Takes a Loss

Mainland Regional was the 70-31 winner over Atlantic County Institute of Tech when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mainland Regional Mustangs fell 59-50 to Atlantic County Institute of Tech on Monday.

Mainland Regional has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which lines up perfectly with their 5-15 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points over those games. As for Atlantic County Institute of Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.

Mainland Regional and Atlantic County Institute of Tech are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Mainland Regional will square off against Timber Creek Regional on February 26th. As for Atlantic County Institute of Tech, they will take on The Pilgrim Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
