Baseball Recap: McGehee Owls vs. Drew Central Pirates

McGehee barely beat Drew Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Owls' pitchers stepped up to hand the Pirates a 7-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Owls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

Drake Brown was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. He is becoming a predictor of McGehee's success: when he posts at least eight strikeouts the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Brown was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
