Volleyball Recap: Clinton-Massie Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Clinton-Massie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Waynesville Spartans, falling 3-0. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Spartans when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-11.

Brooklynn Beckett paced Clinton-Massie's offense, picking up four kills. Beckett got some help from Annalyse George and her 12 assists. Finally, Macie Bowman kept Clinton-Massie's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Waynesville can attribute much of their success to Grace Royalty, who had 11 digs and three aces.

Clinton-Massie's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Waynesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Clinton-Massie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Williamsburg on the 7th. As for Waynesville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Batavia on the 6th.
