Game recap: Cascade Christian High School Football Team wins against Port Townsend

PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. - Cascade Christian (Puyallup, Wash.) extended its winning streak to six games with a 58-22 victory over Port Townsend (Wash.) on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a Robert Terhune touchdown run in the first quarter, the Cougars led 28-6 at the half.

Cascade Christian grew its lead to 46 points entering the fourth quarter. CC scored four times in the third, including once on a Jaelin Goldsmith touchdown pass to Mason Tobeck.

Cascade Christian's most effective player was Goldsmith. The junior quarterback threw three touchdowns and ran for one touchdown.

The Redskins came in allowing just 16.4 points per game this season. Port Townsend had a hard time against Cascade Christian's offense, who entered the game scoring 29.4 points per game.



Cascade Christian also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 55-19.

The defeat comes as a step back for Port Townsend, which notched a 48-14 victory over Vashon Island in its previous outing. The loss broke Port Townsend's two-game winning streak.

In a non-conference game next week Port Townsend (4-2) takes on Life Christian Academy, and Cascade Christian (6-0) will go up against Cedar Park Christian also in a non-conference game.
