Basketball Recap: Fossil Ridge Skates Past Greeley West with Ease

Fossil Ridge won the last time they faced Greeley West and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Fossil Ridge SaberCats blew past the Greeley West Spartans 66-30. The SaberCats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 23 points or more this season.

Fossil Ridge found their leader in freshman Addilyn Sandstedt, who went 8-for-17 en route to 23 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Sandstedt a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elli Johnson, who posted eight points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Greeley West's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Arriana Birley, who put up nine points. Paige Rupple was another key player, putting up seven points.

Fossil Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.7 points. As for Greeley West, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
