Soccer Game Preview: Chapin vs. Parkland

The Chapin Huskies will face off against the Parkland Matadors at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Chapin's offense. They fell 2-0 to Montwood on Tuesday. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Parkland was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Burges could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Chapin now has a losing record at 1-2-1. Parkland's draw gives them a new season record of 3-1-1.

Chapin took their victory against Parkland when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chapin since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
