Meanwhile, Smithfield-Selma's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over Triton. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

West Johnston's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4-1. As for Smithfield-Selma, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
