Basketball Game Preview: Westside Christian Eagles vs. Banks Braves

The Westside Christian Eagles will square off against the Banks Braves on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Westside Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They breezed past Douglas to the tune of 67-36. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Trojans are ranked 102nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Banks waltzed into their game on Saturday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They had just enough and edged out the Vikings 52-50.

The win made it two in a row for Westside Christian and bumps their season record up to 21-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Banks, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Westside Christian strolled past Banks in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 68-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westside Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
