Christian Home Educators Fellowship hasn't had much luck against Amite School Center recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Amite School Center will be up against a hot Christian Home Educators Fellowship squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Faith Training Christian Academy on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly ten runs.

Caleb Whitehead made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. He has become a key player for Christian Home Educators Fellowship: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-7 otherwise.
In other pitching news, Nathan Steele looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Christian Home Educators Fellowship let Hank Pearce and Braxton Gautreau run wild. Pearce scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Gautreau scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Gautreau a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Luke Babin, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
Christian Home Educators Fellowship always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .552 or higher in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Amite School Center). They put the hurt on Centreville Academy with a sharp 18-5 victory last Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Amite School Center is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Christian Home Educators Fellowship, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
Christian Home Educators Fellowship might still be hurting after the 13-3 loss they got from Amite School Center in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
