Baseball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Pierz's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Pierz won against Foley on Thursday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Pioneers beat the Falcons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-2. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 6-2 victory on Thursday.

Pierz has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Foley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Pierz didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 loss against Little Falls on the 2nd. As for Foley, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-4 defeat against Becker on the 2nd.
