Baseball Recap: Cazenovia Takes a Loss

Cazenovia extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 6-9 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jordan-Elbridge Eagles. The Lakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2019.

As for Jordan-Elbridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4. That's two games straight that they have won by just one run.

For Jordan-Elbridge's part, David III Dominick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

Coming up, Cazenovia will head out to face off against Homer at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jordan-Elbridge, they will host Chittenango at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
