Basketball Recap: Poly Takes Down Granada Hills Charter in a Playoff Battle

Poly had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Granada Hills Charter Highlanders by a score of 66-53 on Wednesday. For the Parrots, this counts as revenge for the 68-64 victory the Highlanders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2015.

Poly has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.6 points over those games. Granada Hills Charter moved to 16-14 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Poly will face off against Grant at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Grant knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Poly likes a good challenge. Granada Hills Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
