Baseball Recap: Ironwood Eagles vs. Willow Canyon Wildcats
Ironwood lost against Willow Canyon back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Sebastian Rodriguez was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Lane Stilwell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Ironwood dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Willow Canyon, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
