Volleyball Recap: Ana Sei Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat South Kitsap

After losing to South Kitsap the last time they met, Graham-Kapowsin decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wolves on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Graham-Kapowsin had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-19, 25-19, 25-11.

Graham-Kapowsin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ana Sei, who had 18 assists and eight digs. Sei is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Kaileia Corpuz also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Graham-Kapowsin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Graham-Kapowsin's record now sits at 5-2. As for South Kitsap, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Graham-Kapowsin has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Yelm on the 24th. As for South Kitsap, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Olympia on the 24th.
