Baseball Recap: Angleton Comes Up Short

Angleton lost against Santa Fe back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Angleton got a good showing from Jeremy Peel, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Peel has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

Angleton now has a losing record of 9-10-1. As for Santa Fe, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Angleton and Santa Fe will both be playing Iowa Colony the next time they take the field. The Indians will host the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
