Volleyball Recap: Coral Springs Picks Up Seventh Straight Win on the Road

Coral Springs waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Pine Crest Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Colts also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Coral Springs had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-18, 25-21, 29-27.

Jayden Thomas was a one-man wrecking crew as he had 23 digs. Those 23 digs gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Pine Crest still got an impressive performance from Guillermo Ariza, who had 13 digs and five assists.

Coral Springs' victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. As for Pine Crest, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.

Coming up, Coral Springs will face off against Cypress Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pine Crest, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Franklin Academy on the 2nd.
