Florence's success was spearheaded by the efforts of junior Ian Vaughn, who passed for 273 yards and 3 touchdowns, and junior Reed Barlow, who caught 5passes for 166 yards and 2 touchdowns. That makes it 11 straight good games in a row from Vaughn. The match pushed Lanier down to 7-4 and pulled Florence up to the reverse at 4-7.
After their clash against one another, the teams are taking a break from conference action in their upcoming games. Lanier will square off against Poplarville at 7:00 PM next week.
