Softball Recap: Arkansas Takes a Loss

After flying high against El Dorado last Friday, Arkansas came back down to earth. The Arkansas Razorbacks fell just short of the Fouke Panthers by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Razorbacks in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Aniya Arnold made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jewel Smart, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Arkansas' defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Fouke, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Arkansas will face off against Malvern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Malvern will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Arkansas surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fouke, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Fouke Panthers face off against Horatio Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
