Northwest is 10-0 against Kenwood since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Northwest Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Kenwood Knights at 6:00 p.m. Northwest is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Northwest came up short against Dickson County and fell 41-30.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kenwood). They strolled past West Creek with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 60-41.

Northwest better keep an eye on Yazmine Pearson. She was instrumental in Kenwood's win, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 21 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Pearson has scored at least a third of Kenwood's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarai Townsend, who posted eight points and seven boards.

Kenwood's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Northwest, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Everything went Northwest's way against Kenwood in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as Northwest made off with a 50-29 victory. Does Northwest have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kenwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
