Basketball Recap: Warwick Gets the Win

After losing to Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg the last time they met, Warwick decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warwick Warriors managed a 72-68 victory over the Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg Patriots on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Warwick is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-6.

Warwick has already played their next matchup (against Nelson County co-op [Lakota/Dakota Prairie]), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Northern Cass at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
