Baseball Game Preview: Falmouth Navigators vs. Deering Rams

Falmouth is a perfect 9-0 against Deering since June of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Navigators will look to defend their home field against the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Falmouth's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Deering's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Falmouth proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Portland. The Navigators haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Deering was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Kennebunk, falling 14-4. On the bright side, the four- run performance marked Deering's highest-scoring matchup to date.

Deering saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Profenno, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Those hits were Profenno's first of the season.

Deering's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Falmouth, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything went Falmouth's way against Deering when the teams last played back in June of 2025, as Falmouth made off with a 12-2 win. Do the Navigators have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
