Roaring Fork and Basalt are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Rams will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Longhorns at 11:00 a.m.

Roaring Fork came out on top against Basalt on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Rams walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Longhorns.

For Basalt's part, Karson Schneider put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Schneider was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Schneider wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nate Donnelly, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI. Ryder Hutchinson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Basalt and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Roaring Fork, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.
