Volleyball Recap: Padua Franciscan's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Padua Franciscan can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against the St. Joseph Academy Jaguars by a score of 3-1. The game was the first time the Bruins have beaten the Jaguars on their court since September 16, 2020.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20, 18-25, 25-16.

Leading Padua Franciscan to victory were Giulia Reginelli and Ali Bradford. Reginelli had 14 digs and five aces, while Bradford had 22 assists and three digs. What's more, Reginelli racked up six assists, the most she's had over her last seven contests.

They weren't the only good server: Padua Franciscan was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Joseph Academy only served six aces.

Padua Franciscan's record is now 2-5. As for St. Joseph Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Padua Franciscan will take on Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Bruins' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will challenge Gilmour Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
