Soccer Recap: Shelby Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Shelby challenged Montague on Monday. The Tigers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-3. Shelby were not able to make up for their defeat to Montague from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Shelby and nudges their season record down to 4-13-2. As for Montague, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Shelby has already played their next match (against Northern Michigan Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Montague, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Orchard View at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Montague are facing Orchard View at the right time seeing as Orchard View are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
