After losing to Memorial the last time they met, Frisco decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Raccoons came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 7-3 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Raccoons sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Leija Folauo'o spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Bailee Hodnett was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Hoch, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Frisco kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in February.
Frisco's victory bumped their record up to 10-13-1. As for Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-11.
