Basketball Game Preview: Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes vs. Bible Baptist Christian Wolves

The Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the Bible Baptist Christian Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coastal HomeSchool is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season.

Coastal HomeSchool is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Alleluia Community: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Coastal HomeSchool blew Alleluia Community out of the water with an 86-45 final score. The Hurricanes pushed the score to 61-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Angels had no chance of recovering from.

Coastal HomeSchool can attribute much of their success to Micah Faith, who went 8 of 12 en route to 25 points and six boards, and Alijah McField, who went 10 for 15 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds. That's the most points McField has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was QZ Stephan, who posted seven points.

Bible Baptist Christian has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-40 heartbreaker at the hands of Westover. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Patriots are ranked 54th).

Coastal HomeSchool's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Bible Baptist Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.

Coastal HomeSchool took a serious blow against Bible Baptist Christian in their previous meeting on Thursday, falling 71-42. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bible Baptist Christian's Keitho Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Now that Coastal HomeSchool knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
