Basketball Recap: Sheridan Starts Season with Victory Against Clinton Prairie

Sheridan had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 62-47 win over the Clinton Prairie Gophers. The Blackhawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gophers, too.

Devon Hamilton had a dynamite game, almost dropping a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (six). Another player making a difference was Trey Page, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 17 points.

Clinton Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Sheridan will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Faith Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clinton Prairie, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 67-53 defeat against Seeger on the 6th.
