Softball Game Preview: Easley Green Wave vs. Northwestern Trojans

The Easley Green Wave will square off against the Northwestern Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, Easley didn't have quite enough to beat Fort Mill and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Northwestern came up short against Gaffney on Monday, falling 13-3. The Trojans have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Northwestern saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Pendergraph, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. Leah Williams also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Easley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
