After a string of three wins, Cannelton's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Christian Academy Warriors and fell 49-12. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-5.

When it comes to explaining why Cannelton lost, don't look at Kylie Anastasiades. Despite the final result, she posted 12 points.

Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carly Stevens, who went 8 of 14 en route to 17 points along with six boards and five steals. Stevens has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Alexus Bryant was another key player, putting up 12 points and five steals.

Cannelton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-10.

Cannelton has already played their next game, a 43-39 loss against Frederick Fraize on the 30th. As for Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-46 win against New Washington on the 30th.
