Volleyball Recap: Calvary Baptist Comes Up Short

Calvary Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Rio Hondo Prep Kares.

While Calvary Baptist was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Rio Hondo Prep's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-12, 25-16.

Calvary Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Rio Hondo Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Baptist will square off against Southlands Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rio Hondo Prep, they will challenge Hawthorne Math & Science Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
