Basketball Game Recap: Montevideo vs. Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta

The Montevideo Thunderhawks weren't able to make up for their loss to the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers from their previous meeting earlier this month. This past Friday, Montevideo lost to Morris at home by a decisive 71-52 margin. The last quarter was a mere formality since it was already 71-52 by the third quarter.

Morris found their leader in underclassman sophomore Jackson Loge, who posted a double-double on 39 points and ten boards. Loge hasn't failed to deliver an elite-tier performance once in his past 14 games.

The Thunderhawks' overall record fell to 0-22. The win improved the Tigers' record to 14-10.

The Thunderhawks will square off against Yellow Medicine East Monday. Montevideo won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings. Morris is on the road again Monday and plays against Sisseton. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup.
