After a string of 14 wins, Las Lomas's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Campolindo Cougars by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 1st.

Las Lomas started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 17-25, 25-11, 25-21, 15-13.

Las Lomas' loss dropped their record down to 22-6. As for Campolindo, they pushed their record up to 24-6 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.

Las Lomas and Campolindo should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Knights (ranked 75th) will meet Benicia (ranked 420th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Campolindo will take on Northgate at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (49 vs. 194).
