Recap: Amelia County Raiders vs. Buckingham Knights
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Amelia County Raiders can now relate to. They fell to the Knights 63-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Defeat or not, Amelia County got some senior leadership from JAIDEN SQUIRE and JUSTIN PERRY. SQUIRE scored 21 points along with four steals and two blocks, while PERRY. dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. PERRY is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. ANTHONY HARRIS was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Amelia County's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Buckingham, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
Amelia County will play host again and welcome Arcadia, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Amelia County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 720 points over their last ten matchups. Buckingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
