John Carroll Catholic put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Forest Hill Falcons 41-0. Considering the Rams have won three games by more than 28 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Special teams played a big role in the game for John Carroll Catholic, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Donevon Richardson, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to John Carroll Catholic's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Antonio Correa, Zander Lemons, and Nathan Jackson Lll, who each picked up one sack apiece. Correa was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 11 total tackles.

John Carroll Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Forest Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Coming up, John Carroll Catholic is taking a road trip to take on Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The Rams will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Forest Hill, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pahokee at 6:30 p.m. on October 9.
