Basketball Game Preview: Valencia Vikings vs. Hart Hawks + How To Watch

Valencia is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. As a matter of fact, Valencia put up the most points they have all season on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 85-51 victory over Taft. While the Vikings didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Valencia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Romel McCoy, who shot 62% from beyond the arc to rack up 30 points. Steven Irons was another key player, going 7-for-8 on his way to 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks.

Valencia was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Hart hadn't done well against Canyon recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Hawks walked away with a 76-67 win over the Cowboys.

Valencia's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Hart, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
