Flag Football Game Preview: Savannah Christian Raiders vs. Effingham County Rebels

The Savannah Christian Raiders will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Effingham County Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Savannah Christian is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They took a 13-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Islands on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Effingham County made easy work of Claxton last Thursday and carried off a 29-6 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.

Effingham County had a senior duo take command as Ivyana Jenkins rushed for 68 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries and Jada Praylo gained 121 total yards and two touchdowns.

Effingham County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jayla Young, Elin Cerkoney, and Cambriah Davis picked up one apiece.

Savannah Christian took a serious blow against Effingham County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 38-0. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
