Soccer Recap: First Baptist School Takes a Loss

If First Baptist School was feeling good fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Northwood Academy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hurricanes lost 7-1 to the John Paul II Golden Warrriors on Friday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as First Baptist School were already down 4-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Josh Laney, who's now up to 13 this season.

First Baptist School's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for John Paul II, their win bumped their record up to 13-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Baptist School will host Pinewood Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for John Paul II, they will be playing at home against Bluffton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Bluffton will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each contest than the last.
