Football Game Preview: Brookville Raiders vs. Coudersport Falcons

The Brookville Raiders are taking a road trip to face off against the Coudersport Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brookville will be strutting in after a victory while Coudersport will be coming in after a defeat.

Brookville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 49-27 margin over Bradford last Thursday. With the Raiders ahead 34-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Sam Krug had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 141 yards and one TD while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also caught one touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 56 yards. Hayden Freeman made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Brookville, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Parker Kalgren, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Coudersport played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Cameron County, falling 30-6. Having soared to a lofty 45 points in the game before, the Falcons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Brookville will have to keep a close watch on Christian Driskell and Caleb Wonderly, a pair of players who had a big impact on Coudersport's prior game. Driskell rushed for 108 yards, while Wonderly picked up 55 receiving yards and one score.

Coudersport didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Preston Ayers and Wonderly.

Coudersport's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Brookville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
